When Veronica started up her car, and pulled back unto the road, she wasn’t sure where she was going. She already confronted Duncan, and she already told Wallace the whole story. And even though her Dad isn’t currently in town, there’s no way she would be able to tell him anything about this.

And Weevil wasn’t necessary a Dear Abby.

As Veronica drove, she did know there was one person she wanted to talk to.

Well, not just wanted… she had to. She had to tell him something.

Veronica could help and shake her head at how… weird things have become around this town. Around her life. No one could write this stuff up. The boy she once loved could be her own brother, and he knew it. And he still slept with her.

And the boy she… could love?

Veronica slammed the brake on her car at that thought. She looked around, and sighed, gladly noting there was no other car around her. As Veronica started driving again, she thought again about Logan. What can she say to him? Was “Sorry” going to be enough? Was anything going to be enough?

Veronica laughed at herself. She had never felt… so girly around a boy, well, since Duncan. Not even Troy or Leo made her mind race with a thousand thoughts, and her heart race twice that. She knew what she had to do. She took hold of cell phone, and dialed a number.

“Hey,” was all she said.

Logan couldn’t blame her for blaming him. He knows, even though they’ve been getting pretty close in the past couple of months, doesn’t take away the fact that he had been the biggest jackass to her during probably the hardest time of her life.

Not that it was a great time for him either. He had hurt as much as her. They took out their pain on each other. Cruel remarks and planted bongs should’ve made them enemies for life, but somewhere in between his mom … and now, Logan had been slowly falling for Veronica Mars.

And then she goes on and accuses him of rape.

Yet, he can’t blame her.

Logan laid on his bed and flipped through the channels. It was early evening, and mostly news and more news. He shut off the TV and got up. He was restless. He couldn’t help of thinking of Veronica and wherever she was at this moment. If she was still thinking he could’ve done anything to hurt her. As much dislike they had for each other then, he would never do something like that.

He wouldn’t, right? He was very much intoxicated that night, and most of Shelly Polmroy’s party was a blur, but the memory of doing something like rape, would eat at him like flesh-eating bacteria.

Who else would’ve done something like that? Dick, for sure, cause at the end, well, he was a dick. Or Beaver, since Dick was so pushy to him.

Unless maybe, when he gave Duncan---

Logan’s mind was tossed out his thoughts when he heard his cell phone ring. Without looking at the number, he picked it up.

“Hey,” was all heard… was all he needed to hear.

“I’m coming over to your place.” He said as he grabbed his keys and ran out the door.

When Logan arrived at Veronica’s, she was leaning against her door. She looked up at him. No words were spoken as she took his hands in hers and led him inside the apartment. She guided him to the sofa, both settled down on in, and she cleared her throat, a sign that she was going to be the one that spoke first.

“I’m so sorry.”
